The Youth for Human Rights – Jordan Office is part of the global movement of Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI), which is dedicated to promoting a culture of human rights and advancing the principles of human dignity, justice, equality, and tolerance among young people and all sectors of society.
The Jordan Office works to raise awareness of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights through educational programs, training initiatives, and community-based activities targeting youth, educational institutions, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders. Its goal is to build a generation that is aware of its rights and responsibilities and capable of contributing to sustainable development and social peace.
The Jordan Office firmly believes that human rights education and awareness are fundamental to building a society based on the rule of law, active citizenship, mutual respect, acceptance of others, and the rejection of all forms of discrimination, violence, and extremism.
The Office also seeks to establish effective partnerships with national and international institutions and to implement programs and initiatives that promote human rights principles and translate them into positive practices that benefit individuals and communities.
